About Stuart Sahan

Endurance Running Coach & Clinical Sports Therapist

Running has the power to improve health, build confidence and help people achieve goals they may never have thought possible. Whether you’re preparing for your first 5K, training for a marathon or simply looking to enjoy your running more, my aim is to help you train with purpose and continue progressing over the long term.

My background as an England Athletics Endurance Running Coach and Clinical Sports Therapist, together with nearly 20 years working in healthcare, allows me to combine practical coaching, running biomechanics and clinical understanding to support runners of all abilities. Every runner is different, so my coaching is built around an athlete centred approach, recognising that your goals, experience, training history and lifestyle are unique.

Coaching Beyond the Training Plan

Running is about far more than simply following a training programme. Understanding how you move, how your body responds to training and how to adapt your approach over time can all play an important role in long term development.

Rather than relying on generic plans or one size fits all advice, I work with runners in real world environments using practical coaching, video analysis where appropriate and evidence informed running biomechanics. The aim is not to chase a perfect running style, but to help you better understand your movement and make meaningful changes that support your own goals.

Whether we’re working together through a one to one coaching session, a Running Biomechanics Assessment or ongoing Online Endurance Coaching, every recommendation is tailored to the individual.

Experience That Shapes My Coaching

Alongside my coaching, I run Sports Therapy One, where I help people recover from injury and return to the activities they enjoy. My clinical background provides a valuable understanding of movement, rehabilitation and the factors that can influence performance, while recognising that successful coaching extends far beyond injury management alone.

Away from the clinic, I’m an active member of Massey Ferguson Runners, coach weekly track sessions and lead Longford Striders through England Athletics RunTogether. These experiences keep me connected to the everyday challenges runners face, from balancing training with work and family life to preparing for races and achieving personal goals.

Athlete Centred Coaching

Every runner is different. Your goals, training history, lifestyle and previous experiences all influence the way you train and develop. That’s why I don’t believe in one size fits all coaching.

Whether you choose a One to One Endurance Coaching session, a Running Biomechanics Assessment or ongoing Online Endurance Coaching, every recommendation is tailored to your individual needs. The aim is to help you better understand your running, make informed decisions and continue progressing towards your goals.

By combining endurance running coaching, practical running biomechanics and clinical understanding, you’ll receive clear, evidence informed guidance that is relevant, realistic and built around you.

Working With Me

Whether you’re preparing for your first 5K, training for a marathon, returning to running following injury or simply looking to become a stronger, more efficient runner, my approach is always built around you. Every runner brings different goals, experiences and challenges, which is why I believe coaching should be athlete centred rather than one size fits all.

Whether you choose a One to One Endurance Coaching session, a Running Biomechanics Assessment or ongoing Online Endurance Coaching, you’ll receive practical, evidence informed guidance tailored to your individual needs. The aim is to help you better understand your running, make informed decisions about your training and continue progressing with confidence.

Sessions are approachable, educational and grounded in practical coaching and clinical understanding, providing clear insight without unnecessary complexity.

No elitism. Just better running.

If you’d like to discuss your goals or find out which service is right for you, please get in touch. I’d be happy to help.
