Running Biomechanics and Coaching
Services Available Across Coventry and Warwickshire
Modern running apps are great for building fitness, structure and consistency. But they cannot see how you move, how fatigue changes your form, or how previous injuries influence your running pattern.
That is where coached biomechanics for endurance runners comes in.
At Run Fit Coach, sessions combine clinically informed movement assessment with practical running coaching in real world settings. Using guided running, video capture and professional insight, you will gain a clearer understanding of your gait, movement strategies and efficiency so you can make meaningful improvements that support performance and reduce injury risk.
Services are available across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Run Fit Coach
Standard Coached Running Session
A practical one-to-one session focused on improving running technique, pacing awareness, movement confidence, and overall running performance for endurance runners of mixed abilities.
These sessions are ideal if you want guided support with your running but do not yet need a full biomechanics assessment. The focus is on real-time coaching during a paced run, helping you develop better rhythm, posture awareness, and efficient movement habits.
Each session includes a guided warm-up followed by a coached running segment tailored to your ability and goals. You will receive immediate feedback and simple technique cues that you can apply straight away.
Perfect for runners looking to build confidence, improve pacing, enhance running efficiency, or refine basic running technique without formal video analysis.
Running Biomechanics Assessment (1:1)
A comprehensive one-to-one session designed to assess how you run in the real world and identify opportunities to improve running efficiency, movement control, and reduce injury risk.
We begin with a short consultation to understand your running background, current training, previous injuries, and performance goals. This is followed by a guided warm-up and paced running assessment, allowing your natural movement patterns to emerge under realistic running conditions.
Video is captured while you are running at a realistic effort level and under mild fatigue, helping provide a more accurate representation of endurance running mechanics. Your biomechanics are analysed across key phases of the gait cycle, including initial contact, mid-stance, propulsion, and swing phase.
The assessment focuses on how forces are absorbed, transferred, and produced through each stride. Key areas reviewed include posture, pelvic control, stride behaviour, cadence patterns, ground contact characteristics, limb symmetry, and overall movement efficiency.
Where relevant, findings are linked to current or previous injuries to help identify potential contributing factors rather than simply describing movement patterns.
Following your session, you will receive a personalised biomechanics summary outlining:
• Key movement observations
• Potential contributors to inefficiency or injury risk
• Practical technique cues
• Pacing and running economy guidance
• Priority focus areas moving forward
Each session is designed to provide clear, practical, and actionable insight. Follow-up assessments are available if you wish to monitor progress, track changes over time, or continue refining your running technique.
Small Group Biomechanics Session
Designed for endurance runners who want the benefits of professional biomechanics assessment alongside the energy and motivation of a small group environment.
These sessions include a shared warm-up and paced running segment, followed by individual video capture for each runner under realistic running conditions. Each participant receives their own personalised biomechanics summary with practical recommendations to help improve running efficiency, movement awareness, and performance.
Group sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure every runner receives focused attention, meaningful feedback, and individualised insight.
Ideal for training partners, running clubs, or runners preparing for events who want to develop together while still benefiting from individual analysis and coaching for endurance running events.
